Sometimes I split the difference...do a few little things and then rest. My preschoolers tend to need a bit of time before finally crashing so I stay up to make sure they stay out of trouble. Then after I know they are asleep, I often rest for half an hour or so.
Yes, the 30 minute naps can be the most refreshing because there's no time to get groggy.Sometimes I feel like the strategy changes with the day, though, and I'm never going to light on that one solution that becomes routine. (How I crave a routine!)
A wise friend once told me that with babies, the work is never done but sleep is a precious commodity so get it when you can. LOL.
Word. I wasted so much time and energy last week and managed to keep the house clean until Thursday. I was so run down. The funny thing is, if I wait until the weekend and the whole family pitches in, it can get just as clean in a couple of hours as if I keep up with it every day. "Can" being the operative word. ;)
